Alexander Frenkel (born March 4, 1985, in Kirovograd, Ukraine) is a German cruiserweight boxer of Ukrainian origin. ==Career== In 2010, he was ranked seventh in the world by Boxrec. Fighting of Würzburg, Germany, his professional record stands at a perfect 23–0 with 18 knockouts, and includes a first round knockout over former IBF Cruiserweight Champion Kelvin Davis. Frenkel has a Jewish father〔(''The Jewish Chronicle'' )〕 and is the first Jewish EBU (European) cruiserweight champion. He won the IBF Youth Cruiserweight title with a first round knockout of Cory Phelps (12-3-1) in May 2008.〔(boxrec.com )〕 In his 23rd pro fight, on 18 September 2010, Frenkel won the EBU (European) cruiserweight title from Enzo Maccarinelli (32-4-0) of the United Kingdom by a 7th round knockout.〔〔(www.thejc.com )〕 Alexander Frenkel was injured and was not be able to fight Enad Licina on 22 October 2011. As a result, he was forced to vacate his European cruiserweight title. Since knocking out Enzo Maccarinelli in September 2010, Frenkel hasn't fought in the ring.
